Pharmacology is a unique and dynamic branch of pharmacy, involving understanding of how the human body responds to the drug (Pharmacokinetics) and how a drug deals with the human body (Pharmacodynamics). 

The department is involved in providing theoretical and practical knowledge of the subjects like Human Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapeutics. The departmental laboratory of Human Anatomy and Physiology is well equipped with apparatus for determination various laboratory values like Blood Group, Hb %, RBC and WBC count and also various models and charts of tissues, and organ systems of human body for greater understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human body. The pharmacology laboratory is equipped with student organ bath and Sherrington recording drug for studying dose response curve for various drugs. And modern equipments like Convulsiometer, Actophotometer, Rotarod, Analgesiometer, Pole climbing apparatus to perform experiments related to CNS. 

The department also houses CPCSEA approved animal house fitted with HVAC to store and house laboratory animals for conduction of various animals.
